Rhydypenau Library

Time after Time Event held at Rhydypenau Library on Friday, 11th December, 2015.

Pupils from Rhydypenau Primary School visited their local library for a Christmas celebration of of song and companionship. They were accompanied by their Music teacher Larry Williams and Head teacher Dr. Helen Doyle. The Goldies were provided with refreshments and mince pies as they arrived.

The event started with a variety of musical items by the pupils. Larry provided a number of fascinating Christmas facts between the items.

The pupils were joined by session leader Sue Thomas and some of the Goldies who sang a number of Christmas favourites. Sue looked seasonal dressed as a Christmas tree and Father Christmas also joined the proceedings.

There was a guest appearance by Alison Henson-Jones, a mezzo soprano with Welsh Opera, and her husband Mark who accompanied her on acoustic guitar.

Larry thanked the pupils and the Goldies for a thoroughly enjoyable gathering.

The pupils finished off the mince pies and biscuits before returning to school.
